Community Changes Update

August 1 2011

Well we have a lot of updates to go through. First off, as listed on the forum, we are in need of staff still. This includes guide writers, facebook bloggers, Minecraft GMs, people willing to advertise our community and/or Ventrilo on other official forums, game testers, and much, much more. Please contact Deszeraeth Kanzaki on the Ventrilo voice chat server for more information.

VOG has been in contact with several staff at Silverlode Interactive and will be partnering up to offer several lucrative deals to our members who play SAGA. We are still working out the details, but one thing we are sure of is that everyone should make an account at www.shop.vectocmd.com to make sure they will be eligible.

That said, the cash shop for Minecraft will be now be located at www.shop.vectorcmd.com alongside the new card shop for SAGA. We encourage Minecraft players not to purchase any materials until after Minecraft 1.8 release, our finalizations to the items are complete, and we start on our new world "Kira Evangor". Longevity of our shop services relies heavily on the success it shows in the first couple months operating. VOG has spent over $300 in man hours and $200 in actual cost materials to bring these services to our players.

There is a new subscription feature in our "Support Us" section for people wishing to help support our community. Not only will you receive a monthly sum of VOG Credits for as long as the subscription is active, but you will also recieve a discount on our shop. A referral bonus system is also in the works for Minecraft players who refer us other Minecraft players that stay an undecided amount of time or donate.

Please remember that while we are in the finalisation of our several new features that changes may occur. Several webpages need to be updated to reflect our newest content and information.

With closed alpha testing opening up for Heroes of Warspire soon, VOG will be looking for dedicated testers up for the task. Those interested should contact Deszeraeth Kanzaki.

While this may seem to be a lot of information there is still more yet to come. Please check here or www.saga.vectorcmd.com (our first and new fansite) for further updates.

Community Changes

July 25 2011

As most people have seen in the past couple weeks, there have been many transformations in the VOG community. With all the [G.L.] ranks and higher being reset to [Admin] and all the [Sub G.L.] ranks and lower being reset to member we are now changing what each rank means and will re-release them when they are ready to the people who apply/applied for them and qualify for the responsibilities. Shortly after a few people may have noticed significant changes to our forum content, management, and style. Changes are also taking place on the website as we are working on updates to this website and on our first fansites for a couple games. These websites will be VOG run and have access to a centralization of game guides from other places or information our members have written themselves.

A small list of changes to expect is available below:

  • Changes to requirements, duty, and availability of all ranks! We expect this to make it easier on everyone, not harder.
  • Website will have new information such as this section and more detail on other sections. Updates will also be released more expediently and with higher quality.
  • Many changes have or are currently taking place on the forum to make it easier to navigate, read, post, and contact people. Most staff will also have detailed information in their forum signature of what their duties are.
  • Subscription based donations that will allow you to donate small amounts every month automatically. There may be rewards for this on some of our own VOG hosted games!
